  • Birth – Age 2

    Baptism

Baptism is an important milestone in a child’s life. Parents who wish to have their child baptized are asked to meet with Pastor Pam or Pastor Jonathan. Parents learn about the promises made at baptism, the influence they have on their child’s faith journey and details about the baptism day.  Please call the Church Office, 645-4429, if you’d like more information.

    Nursery

We love when children attend worship services with their families. If little ones need to take a break, St. John’s Nursery provides loving and safe childcare for children 12 weeks to 6 years of age.

The Nursery is located in the lower level and is open every Sunday morning during the worship services.

    Toddler Time

Preschool children, age 2 (by September 1, 2025) – age 5, along with a parent/guardian, are encouraged to come to Toddler Time! Sing songs, engage in Bible stories, play games and create, all while making new friends.  Toddler Time meets during the school year, usually the second Sunday of the month, 9:45 am-10:30 am.

  • Age 3 – Grade 5

    Sunday Mornings

“Spark”  is St. John’s  faith formation Sunday school curriculum.  Kids experience Bible stories, both in classroom and rotation stations settings throughout the school year.  We welcome kids age 3 (by 9-1-25) – grade 5; September – May, 9:45 am – 10:30 am.

    Wednesday After School Programs

St. John’s Wednesday After School program is open to all children kindergarten – grade 5. Wednesday activities includes snacks, games, creative arts, music, movement, drama and storytelling!

St. John’s provides bus transportation from Northfield’s elementary schools for children who would like to participate.

    Catechism

CAT is short for Catechism, the basics of Christian faith that Martin Luther prepared for parents to teach their children. 3rd, 4th and 5th graders participate in CAT during the Wednesday After School Program and on special retreat days.
