Toddler Time, Age 2 – Age 4. 9:45 – 10:30 a.m.
Children who are 2 by 9/1/16, along with their parents, are invited to the Nursery the 2nd Sunday of each month for a special “Toddler Time” Sunday school. Toddler time includes songs, movement, Bible stories , games and friends!
“Spark” is our Sunday School faith formation
curriculum for Preschool – Grade 5, 9:45 – 10:30 a.m.
Our curriculum “sparks” kids to open the Bible and explore God’s Word.
St. John’s uses a combination of classroom and rotational models on Sunday mornings. Sunday School is held between worship services from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., September – May. Sunday School classes are for age 3 (3 by August 31 of the school year) to grade 5.
Wednesday Afterschool Programming
“ROCK” Reaching Out to Christ’s Kids
ROCK is our afterschool programming for kids in Grades K-5.Kids can ride the afterschool bus from the Northfield elementary schools to St. John’s on Wednesdays when programming is happening!
Catechism – Grades 3 – 5, Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
“CAT”echism is the basics of Christian faith that Martin Luther prepared for parents to teach their children. 4th and 5th graders learn about the Catechism on Wednesdays after school. Grade 3 participates in three retreats during the year learning about the Bible (receives a Bible in the fall), Baptism and Communion. .
DOG, Discovering Our Gifts – Grades 3 – 5
DOG meets at 4:15 – 4:45 p.m. on Wednesdays about every other month when CAT is not in session. It is a time for 3, 4 and 5 graders to discover their God given gifts and passions through the arts, music, service and worship
Opportunities in Music – K – Grade 5
Children are encouraged to share their musical gifts in worship. Choirs meet on Wednesday’s afterschool and sings throughout the year in worship.

Kid’s Club – Grades K – 2
Kid’s Club meets 4:45 -5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Our time is filled with faith based games, stories, arts and crafts.
